Julie

Amber (Work Study) in process of deleting bad email addresses from Moodle.  Has also transcribed words on Eisenhower video.
Will need to get HiCaption software to add video captions.  Can do captions from transcripts.  Zan will train Julie.
Instead of now redoing all links that have been altered by the Moodle update, will do this after NCRE.  Will ask Cybertools to do this.
Will make a “How To . . .” instruction sheet for Digital Library users.

Discussion: Flash vs. WMV

Questions to be resolved before we convert:

Is Flash the most accessible format?
Can captioning be added?
Can captioning be turned off?
Can Flash be downloaded from website?
What are NCRTM intentions for digitized videos in library?  To view them on computer only or to be downloaded by customer?

Decided to hold off on buying HiCaption until questions resolved.  Ken found out there is a HiCaption SE for Flash -- $99.00

Zan advised NCRTM define is needs before searching for software – then find software that fits needs.  Perhaps WMVs are an OK format.  Big issue. Need to discuss further in a dedicated meeting.

Gail

Recruitment project – gave Bryce collected data.  He is coming up with some recruitment suggestions.  Continuing to contact grantees.
